With only a visit to the Sinai (Dahab is also located in the Sinai desert) you do not need a visa if the duration of your holiday is not longer than two weeks.

If you wish to visit Ras Mohamed or Cairo, or if you will stay longer than 2 weeks, you will need a visa. The cost of a visa is about € 15.
